Public transportation

If you are looking for a difficult, time-consuming and uncomfortable way to get to Schillingen, this is it. Like most of the Hochwald Schillingen can't be reached by train so you must take a bus. You can travel to Trier by train. At the station you can catch a bus to Schillingen. At least that way you'll see a lot of little Hochwald villages. If you can't persuade the driver to stop in front of the tennis courts you must get out at Heddert or at the first stop in Schillingen, near the graveyard. Either way it's about a 15-minute walk to the tennis courts.
